Get involved
There are many ways you can help ORCA in protecting and restoring our valuable coast, estuaries and oceans.
Save these precious habitats for generations to come. Simply exploring our site and sharing your insights with others in the community is a significant step. ORCA is always in need of supporters of every kind. Whether you want to give time, money or expertise, ORCA encourages you to get involved.
Become a Trained Citizen Scientist
Citizen science is scientific research conducted by amateur or nonprofessional scientists. At ORCA, citizen scientists receive specialized instruction to support our field and laboratory research. Whether or not you have a science background, you’ll learn how to collect high-quality data that directly contributes to our monitoring, pollution tracking, and restoration efforts.
Join as a Community Volunteer
Community volunteers support ORCA through flexible, hands-on opportunities that don’t require scientific training. From helping in the lab or office to assisting with shoreline plantings, restoration projects, outreach events, and community stewardship activities, volunteers play an important role in advancing our mission and connecting our community to the waterways we protect.
ORCA is dedicated to the protection and restoration of aquatic ecosystems and the species they sustain through the development of innovative technologies, science-based conservation action and community education and outreach. Please help support our mission.
We are committed to mentoring young environmental scientists and providing a unique internship experience. Our internships offer the opportunity to work and network with professionals in the many different environmental disciplines – scientists, engineers, policy makers, advocates, politicians, educators.
