LAGOON GUARDIANS

Lagoon Guardians, ORCA's after-school and weekend educational program, aims to empower the next generation of middle school environmental stewards by engaging them in scientific research, citizen science, and scientific literacy.  This program allows students the opportunity to participate in practical and realistic research experiences surrounding the Indian River Lagoon.

ORCA's Lagoon Guardians Summer Camp 2020

With funding provided by IRC Children's Services Advisory Committee, Lagoon Guardians offers a free summer camp for rising 6th-8th grade students in Indian River County. Summer camp activities include: seining, fish dissection, shoreline monitoring, sediment analysis, spoil island investigation and data collection.

 

Week 1: July 13-17
